Who We Are

 

 

Vicki Strickfaden, President, co-founded BSI in 1993 with her partner, Shannon Jurdana, with the goal of providing superior benefit services to their clientele. After spending her career in the healthcare insurance market, she used her expertise in policies, systems, and programs to establish BSI's operations infrastructure. She is highly regarded by other professionals in the employee benefits industry, recently serving as the President and Board Member of the Northwest Association of Administrators. Vicki's greatest strength is her ability to establish and maintain close ties with clients, employees, and industry associates alike

Shannon Jurdana, Vice President, had overall responsibility for the evolution, architecture, and implementation of BSI’s employee benefit systems. Shannon has spent nearly 25 years in the healthcare benefits industry, designing business and technical solutions to meet industry challenges. BSI clients and associates alike look to Shannon for her business expertise and knowledge in the employee benefits field and depend upon her unrelenting dedication to exceptional customer service. Shannon also serves as a Board Member of the Northwest Association of Administrators.

Erik Ryan, General Manager brings nearly 25 years experience in operations management, accounting and client relations to BSI. His primary goal is to support BSI's vision of creating an environment of open communication among staff members and identifying operational improvement opportunities. Erik also maintains a high degree of involvement with BSI's clients, creating new ways to support their growing needs. His broad experience includes ownership of a five-location retail operation serving the transportation industry, regional sales and works on a non-profit board for an organization that provides chaplains to local hospitals.

Randy Matthews, Director of IT, designed, developed, and implemented many of BSI's current internal applications. Randy provides technical expertise to external clients, including trusts, associations, and carriers, serving as a key player in satisfying our client's changing needs. Randy also leads the development of BSI's internal Web development efforts, iBSI, our online enrollment application, as well as implementing state of the art web development tools to sustain BSI's technical leadership.

Judy Michael, Director of Program Management, recently joined BSI after nearly 20 years as an Operations Consultant, focusing on accounting, financial, and process improvement projects in the healthcare, insurance, and consumer goods industries. She is currently responsible for implementing major systems and operational improvement projects within BSI and works as a liaison with external BSI clients.
